On 17th June 2016, I spent a morning at a BMW Driver Experience Day at Eastern Creek.
Breakfast, registration and being breathalyzed started the day.
After an introductory lecture, the first half of the morning was spent on a wet slalom course navigating around “witch’s hats” at high speed.
The second half of the morning was spent on the track, driving M2’s and 235’s. We approached speeds of nearly 200kph on the straights, being given instruction by remote radio.
To finish the session we were taken on two laps of the circuit by professional BMW drivers, which was fairly terrifying.
What did I learn from the day? – BMW make a very good product and… I’m not as game as I used to be!
